My husband got a phone from a friend because they got a new one but every time I try to call about it the automated services people say they can't find that number. What can I do?

It might be that the phone's IMEI number isn't in Verizon's database. Was the used/new to you phone activated on Verizon before, was the friend on Verizon?

Let's get your husband connected, mellish! What phone did your husband get? Is it a VZW phone? If so, is it a 4G phone? He may need a new SIM card. It would be best to go into a local store for assistance in getting it activated. For a store close to you, please select the following link: http://www.verizonwireless.com/stores/
