When I try to set up my email account on my Extravert 2, I get an error message that says Connection Unsuccessful. How can I get this to work?

I'd love to help get you connected to your email! First, lets ensure that you do have a connection to the internet. Please click the "My Verizon" icon on your device, and tell me if you are able to access your VZW account. Then we can determine the next step in getting your email working.

My apologies for the delay, Jonathan_Margolin. I'm glad to hear that you have a good connection. I need to know at what point you are getting this message. Do you get the error message when you first click the email icon, or once you've started setting up? Please provide the steps you are taking to set everything up. Thanks for the details!

Hi there,

There are very few steps. First I tap the icon for the Mobile Email app,

and then I receive an error message that says "Connection Issue. Connection

unsuccessful. Please try again." This is as far as I can get.

I appreciate you working with us to get this fixed. Please go to your phone's Menu>Media Center>Browse and Download and see if you find Mobile Email. If you do, please click on it and see if you are able to download or update this app. Let's also review your software update.Please go to Settings>phone info>SW/HW version and check for a new update if available.

Carmen, is there a way for us to talk in real time via IM or phone? This is

going to take forever at this rate. I already have Mobile Email, as I've

mentioned previously. I'm not sure why you are suggesting I look for the

app. Regarding your second suggestion, there are no updates available.
