Hi jay__w,
Let's look into this! Which email account are you having trouble with? Have you checked you sync settings? I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I have tried everything and I am at my wits end. I talked to my email service provider. I talked to HTC service. I tweeted with Microsoft mobile, all to no avail so I did a system reset, reinstalled my email account and now it will not accept my password no matter how many times I try. My laptop, android, desktop, and webmail all work with this email account. My phone's software is the latest. I don't think there's anything else I can do.
I have spent way too much time chasing this. Mobile email is my most important application. I love the phone otherwise. I think Verizon should replace this defective phone on the warranty.

Just to recap, I had a previous Verizon chat session regarding my Windows 8 HTC phone suddenly not receiving email. The final recommendation was to delete the account and start a new one, which I did. Now whenever I sync, I get an error message 80004005 and there are no messages, old or new. Then I got error code 80072F30. Now its back to 80004005. I have performed numerous soft reboots. Everything else but email seems to be ok.
Now I cannot connect to chat for some reason. In the meantime, I talked to Network Solutions, my email service provider, the HTC service rep, and WindowsMobile...no one has a solution.
Finally, I did a full system reset and now the phone will not even accept my password to reinstall the email account. The email account works with all other devices I have, PC desktop and laptop, Android, as well as webmail. I’m using the same settings as in all the other devices.
Mobile email is my most important application. I am at my wits end and have spent way too much time chasing this.
I think Verizon should replace this year-old phone under warranty.
Please advise,
