Let's get the mobile hotspot working for you, jezter1305. Do you have service on your device? Are you able to get on the internet with your phone? Does your plan have mobile hotspot available?

I have the same concern. I have a single line plan. I have service on my device. Yes, I can access the internet. My phone shows internet sharing as an option, but when I try to move the slider to on, it tells me "Internet sharing isn't currently allowed."
I have been through the troubleshooting guide step by step and taken care of all the other options.
What's up here? I cannot find anything to tell me whether my plan includes mobile hotspot on not. If it doesn't, then Verizon should be ashamed of itself for not making that very clear from GO.

msdavinci,
Let's get your Mobile Hotspot feature up and running! Have you used the MHS on this device before? What plan are you currently on? Not every plan has the Mobile Hotspot included in the bundle. It is normally a $20/2GB additional feature. Please fill us in on these details. We look forward to hearing back.

This is a new HTC One M8 for Windows. Previously, I had an HTC Radar with T-Mobile. I switched to Verizon to get the new phone. I have the single-line plan with 2gigs of data, which is way more than I need per month. Why am I blocked from Internet Sharing? It's built into the phone. BUT when I try to turn it ON I get the message that says "Internet Sharing Isn't Currently Allowed." HTC tells me it's a verizon issue, not a phone issue.

Hi msdavinci!
I can assist you with this, no problem! Your device has the ability to me a mobile hotspot so other devices can connect using your own Wifi connection. This is called internet sharing. Some plans include internet sharing as a part of the plan, but not all do.
I've send you a Direct Message in the forums so we can get to the bottom of this for you.
Thanks!

Verizon speaks but is full of it! First look at your phone in setting there is an Internet sharing setting. You will need to turn it on. You DON'T need another device contrary to what Verizon is trying to sell you!

In my case, I can't turn internet sharing ON. It flips right off and tells me it isn't currently allowed.
