It's the same phone and it does have internet access (so you'll want a data package if you plan to use the internet).  Just ensure it's a Verizon-branded phone with a clean ESN.

It the same phone but you don't have to have data on it if you don't want since they are older phones. We had these phones without data as I didn't think they would be good for surfing the net compared to a smart phone. Mary

I accessed the internet all the time on my Env3, but it's definitely easier with a smartphone.
