Can anyone help me? my phone seems tobe stuck in a loop for recieving texts. i keep recieving the same texts from 411. it started yesterday when i had 411 send me a text with the number i was looking for. now i can't recieve any texts except from 411. i can send texts and make calls but i can't recieve any others.

Agreed. Try rebooting the phone and then seeing if the text issue resolves itself. If you can, update us with the situation since Verizon has no intention of ever creating a FAQ or usable customer service for this phone. Apparently, we have to help ourselves.

Hi LizzieBr33,
I feel your pain; I use my text messaging featuring constantly and can relate to the importance of being able to receive text messages. I trust that rebooting your phone has resolved the issue by now as it was recommended by other forum members (thank you all!). If you still have this messaging issue please post back with answers to the following questions and we all be able to assist you further.
What 411 service are you getting these text messages from (Several services available)?
Did you subscribe to a specific service to receive messages from these 411 messages?
Are you using a third party application to send/receive text messages?
Additionally, a Factory Reset will most likely resolve the issues if a 3rd party application or system file is corrupted.

I am having the same problem, I dialed Verizon 411 in St. Augustine on Monday, opted for the number to be sent to me and have been spammed with 411 texts. I discovered today that when I paid my bill the automated text usually appears immediately, and lo! My phone chimed a new text had arrived! FROM 411. So I sent myself a text from Verizon.com and soon after got a chime with the same 411 message. I have gotten a ton of text messages today, some may have been important, but I don't know if they will ever show up. I have called 611 who told me to call 411 because they don't handle 411. Called 411 and they told me they have no idea where the text messages originate and can do nothing. Boy am I pissed right now.

I was able to fix the problem by updating my phone software. Anyone else with this issue go to menu, settings, phone settings, phone info, software update. (samsung intensity II).

I had a similar problem in June - a text I sent to a friend kept resending every 10 seconds. Not only could she not do anything because texts were coming so fast, I couldn't do anything because my phone continued to send the text because it kept bouncing in and out of network connections. Eventually she had to unsubscribe to texting (from another provider) and I had to reset my phone to factory settings. After that, we could go back to "normal". It was a nightmare. I was traveling at the time and in the Denver airport. Someone suggested it was due to the fires in Colorado disrupting the services there.
I tried rebooting and individually deleting all 3rd party software before having to do the whole reset. My friend who received the messages went so far as to switch her sim card with an employee at the providers store and they both started receiving the texts every 10 sec!!
I'd suggest resetting and move on.
