why wont my speaker on my phone work so I cannot hear it ring

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your speaker! We just need a little more detail and we can point you in the right direction. Is it just the ringer that is an issue? Can you hear music and persons that are calling you? Any reason to suspect it might be a hardware issue? Has the phone been dropped or has it been exposed to moisture?
From your home screen, slide from right to left and touch "Settings." Then select "ringtones sounds." Are "Ringer" and "Vibrate" off? If so, slide to turn on and retest. If they are on, try turning "off," power the phone off and back on and then turn Ringer back on and retest. Let us know if it works again.
