recently, my phone got wet. I have no insurance and now I am stuck with a contract with no way of getting another phone. wondering what choices do I have. will not upgrade family line, do not have another older phone, and so I am thinking about cancelling
Since you have posted in the basic phone section, I will assume you do not have a smartphone. With a basic phone, you have an ETF of $175 which drops $5 each month of your contract which you complete. If you have 1yr left on your contract, then you have a $115 ETF. You could also purchase a phone at full retail price. Do you have any family/friends with older phones that are not currently active which you could borrow? In the past, I have given my old phones to friends who were in the same boat as you. They then activated my old phone on their line.
ebay is def the way to go... or try your local craigslist postings... check out the phone before you buy though!
