A lot of forums get this same question, but from people who found a lost phone and want to keep it, or from people looking to spy on the contents of somebody else's phone. There is no "work around" for forgotten passwords. Bottom line is you have to wipe/restore to factory settings. With mobile security being what it is today, the scenarios I laid out above are prime drivers in phone lock protocols. I'm not saying you stole or found a phone, or that you're trying to break into somebody else's phone. But those scenarios are why you cannot bypass phone locks.

It depends on the model of your phone; which you didn't state.
Most likely you'll have to do a hard reset which will wipe the phone completely and reset it to factory defaults.
Do a google search for your phone model and hard reset and you'll find instructions on how to do it.
