what is the pause (symbol) for extensions?

In "edit phone number" I am trying to insert the symbol at the end of the phone # that creates a pause so you can add the extension or option. The key pad has * # . - + and space........nothing seems to work ?......just love new *%%$ phone's

I agree that it should be a comma (,). The problem is a comma is not any where on the phone key pad ? I have the nokia 822

OK I found it......Earlier I tried holding down the * / # / and the - key and nothing happened. So now I tried the space bar and the period (.) and low and behold if you hold down the period (.) up pops the comma(,) and yes that is what works !
