In regards to HTC One M8 getting Windows 10 Mobile is a wait and see. Right now Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 Mobile to European countries first.
Sites like WindowsCentral.com or WMPowerUser.com would be you best bet for any news about when Windows 10 Mobile is being rolled out the US. VZW by default keeps upgrade announcement a secret till it's actually released.
