My original charger for my iPad was stolen from my dorm room. Is there any way the first year warranty will cover a replacement? A new one is so expensive and won’t charge right with just any charger

Warranty covers defects in manufacturing. (Something that is Apple’s fault) For only one year unless you bought Apple Care +, then 2 years.
Does not cover theft, or physical damage. And the charger is not covered by insurance, only the device.
I have several good after market chargers, you do not have to buy apple’s Branded one

We're so sorry to hear that your iPads charger was stolen, Ayla2. We know it's important to be able to charge your device. The original manufacturer's warranty covers any mechanical or electrical defects and does not cover lost, stolen or damaged devices. You can take a look at all our device chargers here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/products/chargers/
We hope this information helps.
