Why can't I delete sent mail on my iPad?

I"m unable to delete my sent e-mail on my I-Pad mini. In the sent column it shows a dulled out number 43.  I use Verizon.  I also have an I phone and desk top and they do not show any dulled out numbers in the e-mail sent column

corlight, keeping updated on your email is essential. Let's ensure you have the ability to maintain it going forward. Since you have checked the email account via desktop and it shows up dated, the next step would be to uninstall/reinstall the email account via the tablet.
