email issues with iPad Pro

I have an iPad Pro and am using the iOS email app. Verizon pop server

After I've downloaded emails and moved them into the trash from the inbox, the emails reappear 2 to 3 times.

Since I only download emails to the iPad Pro, is there any way to set it up to delete the emails from the Verizon email POP server?

dkinpgh I had the same issue with my iPhone, not only do the emails take up space it's annoying. What I had to do was go to my iMac (original account set-up) and change the preference for deleted messages. DeloresK_VZW
