I am not receiving short codes from apps

I just switched over to Verizon from T-Mobile and I only did it because my phone would get no service at work. When switching everything is working with iPhone and Adroid text. Big problem I'm running into is that my phone is not receiving sms codes from my apps that I have on my phone to verify who I am. Only one working is my bank but other apps aren't working. Checked settings to make sure I wasn't blocking anything and not sure where to go from here.

Did you check your account settings on Verizon's site? It's possible the codes are being sent via internet vs a mobile number. There are settings that you can use to block messages that originate from the internet or email vs a mobile number. Search for "blocks" in the search field on Verizon's site to read about them and find a link to check your settings.
