Poor voice signal

I have a cell tower and visual range of my home, 8/10 of a mile away. Recently my voice call signal strength Started dropping from four bars to one when a call is initiated. When I disconnect the call my four bars return. I have four bars with data. Cellular calls are now being dropped. This after over a year of perfect service. What is going on?
