Why does Verizon Only care about new customers?

I went to purchase an Iphone on Dec 8th (I was working Dec 3-7) and was told a trade in deal for up to $350 for my galaxay s8 only ran from Dec 2-6th. This deal was not advertised well, and multiple verizon employees repeatedly told my sister who was able to take advantage of the deal that it was running until "mid December" but ofcourse could not give an end date. I went to both a 3rd party retailer and verizon corporate center in Philadelphia and was ultimately met with the same shoulder shrug and "Sorry about that" from the Employees. One employee told me to try financing through apple or give best buy a call and hear about their deals. My question is, why does this company only seem to offer deals to pull in new customers (buy one get one for new lines, etc.) but treat their existing, loyal customers with such disregard. As a verizon customer for over 10 years I have to say this was very disappointing.

Does any one know of upcoming verizon deals? I understand corporate does not release this information to employees so they honestly do not know. Unfortunately while I am happy with my current phone, I have to upgrade to an iphone for work related reasons but I'd prefer to find a sale to help offload the 11 price tag.

It seems to me you should be asking for a deal on an iPhone from your employer since they are the one requiring this purchase.

It is not 100% required but a lot of the applications I use for work are only compatible with iphones

You should be harassing your boss over wanting you to get an iPhone more than badmouthing your carrier.

Verizon employees don't give out exact end dates because they're told not to. These are subject to change and could result in spreading false information to customers who decided to do everything last minute.

Your carrier doesn't owe you anything in regards to equipment. You pay Verizon for the service, not the phones.

I agree.  I will be moving my 2400 of business to ATT shortly.  You can get Apple xs phone by switching to them and port your number to them.  Only have to pay activation charge.
