Hi Everyone. On Wednesday, January 26th 2022, my data suddenly stopped working on my phone. I can make and receive calls but unless connected to WiFi, the phone is otherwise inoperable. I have rebooted the phone, toggled airplane mode on/off, toggled cellular data off/on, reset my network settings, completed the SIM card removal/replacement process, performed an erase and restore from an iCloud backup, performed an erase and restore to factory settings to rule out any potential software issues and, finally, I completed a complete re-install of the iOS software per Apple’s recommendation and set the phone back to factory settings and I still have no data getting to this phone from Verizon. I presented to the local Apple store today and they ran a complete diagnostic test of the phone, which came back normal. Lastly, the tech removed my SIM card and placed it in a brand new iPhone with fresh software and that phone acted in the same manner as mine, proving that this is clearly a data issue on Verizon’s end. The Apple tech provided me with a new SIM card just in case and told me to contact Verizon and advise of the findings. Verizon can’t seem to find the issue on their end and I’ve spoken to Tier 2 Support three times and Customer Care more times than I can count. Today I was told that I should consider “upgrading” my plan since my data was showing to be “throttling”. My data is not slow nor is it “throttling”….it is simply not working and upgrading my plan, which prior to last Wednesday which working perfectly for years and years, was not only insulting, but it is not the appropriate solution. Has anyone here ever experienced this type of data issue that has been troubleshot to this level and still not resolved? Also, is anyone here from Verizon that can kindly reply and put me in contact with a department that can restore my data connection as this appears to be the problem? This is not only a major inconvenience, but I’m paying for services that I am not receiving.
