3-way calling inconsistancies

On occasions when my initial call is a long distance call and I attempt to select my third party call from either my recent call list or my contacts, I hear two beeps and both calls are dropped. The third party call indivdual informs me that the call rings through, but is a dead call. Immediately afterwards I can do a local 3-way call and have no problem connecting my other 2 calls!! I have found the Verizon Network to be lacking in this area.

Hi, Johnsher-

The 3-way calling feature can be an important feature for convenience. The CDMA antenna built into the iPhone for Verizon cannot perform 3-way calls. It would appear the local 3-way calls is a workaround, that is not commonly known of. For more info you can review the user manual online: Keep me posted if you have further questions.
