I primarily use WiFi accordingly I have a limited data plan. I see that the 3G indicator is in white on the top of my phone when I am not connected via WiFi. I don't want to be using 3G, except very occasionally, so how do I know that my iPhone 4 is not connected to the 3G network and using data?
I used to have a Samsung Facinate and there was a 3G icon too and it would be white if I was not using the network and would green and red when I was using it.
Is the iPhone the same?
Hi plugandplay, We certainly want you to be able to stay in the know about your data usage on your new device! When using data on the device you will see a spinning circle to the right of the 3G indicator. You can also monitor the amount of data you are using by dialing #DATA or logging into My Verizon at http://www.vzw.com/myverizon.
