Yes. To acquire a new SIM card you will need to purchase it from your nearest vzw store. You can keep your unlimited data as long as you don't sign a new 2 year contract.

When did Corporate Verizon stores start charging for SIM cards (they've always been free)?
They only provide them for free to people who have gotten the phone from Direct stores. Or so I thought. I didn't want to provide any false hope by saying they were free. I'd say go with about 20$, and if they're free, you just saved money, but if not, you're prepared already. I'm not sure the exact price, but I don't think you can walk in and say "I want a 4g SIM card", and they'll just hand one over no questions asked.
I know that last year I got a SIM card from a corporate store for free. I have the receipt to prove it too.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
I know from a chat with Customer Service a month or so ago that a new SIM card would be free, but if ordered through CS (as opposed to getting it in a store) they'd charge shipping (but the card was free).
