I have an I phone 4 that was purchased in 2012, the phone will not get calls or call out. I have done all the tips about settings and read I may need a new sim card. Being an at risk senior I really don't want to visit a store if I can avoid. How do I order a new card?
It's great to know that you've been able to use your iPhone 4 for such a long time, although I'm sorry to hear it's having trouble with calls. What exactly happens when you try making a call on the phone? As for a SIM card, the iPhone 4 is an older CDMA model that does not require a SIM card. They were only used if you traveled outside of the U.S.
More importantly though, your iPhone will no longer be compatible with our network as the CDMA service is being retired: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-218813/ . It is wonderful to know that you were able to get 8 years of service out of your phone, but it would be recommended to get a new phone. The iPhone SE had recently come out, is similar in size to your iPhone 4, and more than half the price of other iPhone models: https://www.verizonwireless.com/smartphones/apple-iphone-se-2020/ . Please let us know what questions you might have about that.
