My battery meter shows 100% but never drops,then it turns off.why?

Try restarting your phone to see if that helps. Press and hold the On/Off (Sleep/Wake) button until the red slider appears. Slide it to turn the phone off. Wait a few seconds and then turn it back on. If that doesn't work then try resetting your phone. Press the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
