Calls from China

I am having an issue with Verizon right now. I have received my bill for the month for the amount of $540.00. I have been with Verizon for a little over 6 years now and have NEVER had a problem. I went ahead and looked through my bill to see why I was being charged so much. My monthly bill usually is $250.00. After looking through my bill I see that one of the lines is showing they are in China and making calls, however that phone is in my desk at home and Verizon is saying that the towers are showing that phone is roaming in China. I have never traveled outside of the country. On top of that the phone has been turned off for the past 3 going on 4 months and hasn't used 1mintue since. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

nope...seems odd..maybe someone spoofed your MEID and ESN

Is the phone on your desk still listed as being "active" on that particular line of service?

Perhaps you should turn it on a make a test call with it to verify it still works and that test call shows up in your usage details on your MyVerizon account.

The phone is still active the power is just turned off. I have turned it on here and there but have not made any phone calls nor text messages. I have not even checked any voicemail's. I have suspended the line for now. When looking at my usage it is still showing up until I suspended the line that there where calls to China even after notifying Verizon. It just seems very weird to me. I just don't feel it is right that I have to fork up this money when I know indeed that I have the phone and have never left the country. And on top of all this I called Verizon back yesterday telling them that my usage was still showing calls to China after I called and questioned what was going on and they said "if you would have brought the phone in then, then we could have seen what was going on." I was putting my trust in Verizon to help me fix this situation but now I feel like I am at there mercy.
