Would really appreciate some help on this one......Switched from a Droid to an iPhone 4s yesterday and can not add any of my Verizon email accounts for some reason.
When I walk through the steps of adding an account and hit "Next" I get the following error:
Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
Then, when I select "Yes", it says it's "verifying" and then the following appears:
The SMTP server "outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Outgoing Mail server" field.
I though seeing "Yahoo" in the server name was odd, so I deleted that and re-tried. Also double and triple checked my password.
Right now, I am not diggin' the iPhone!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@gunnerboy1 - Receiving emails is very important. Is your iPhone 4s still having a hard time setting up your email account through Verizon? I know it has been a few days, so I wanted to check in with you. If you are still having issues, let us know as we'd like to help out.
