Yesterday evening, I changed my Verizon iPhone4 phone no. from 832-509-xxxx to 832-712-xxxx through my Verizon.
After changing this, I did *228, option 1 and then *228 Option 2.
Restart my iPhone4, and got new number in Setting>Phone>My Number.
I can call to others, and can receive calls.
But, I cannot send messages to others and cannot receive messages from others.
I called *611, and they guy told me the same procedure, reboot the phone, *228 Option 1 & Option2, and then he told me Reset Network Setting.
Nothing happened, the same situation, and he transferred to Technical Support, and the lady told me Erase All Content and Setting, I did it whatever the lady from Technical Support.
I can send message to outside, but cannot receive, and the lady created the ticket for me, tt # 5589918, and she told me it will take 24 to 72 hours, may be more than this, cannot tell the time.
So, how frustrated I am? She said Verizon Network Engineers are not there, need to wait.
I told her that is not iPhone problem, that's is Verizon problem, you guys need to do something for message.
She told me someone from Verizon will call me, but not yet receive. How can I do my business by using Verizon wireless?
When I check my phone this morning, Setting> Messages> Under iMessage (between iMessage & Send Read Receipts Tabs)> Waiting for activation...
I did 2 times my phone to Factory Restore Setting. When I hit Setting> Messages> Receive At> it is shown only my apple ID Email Address, and not showing current phone no. like before I changed my phone number,.
Don't you think you guys, Verizon, should solve my problem ASAP???
