My friend has one year left on her current contract before she gets the opportunity for a inexpensive phone upgrade. She wants an Iphone 4 or 4s badly, but she does not want to pay full retail price. Can she instead extend her contract two more years, add the data package, and get the Iphone for a reduced cost? What kind of costs reductions would this engender? What will the cost be if she waits as opposed to getting it now for retail, or as an extended contract?
Thanks!

She cant do it, she still has 12 months for the last phone she got a subsided rate
myself i'm a greedy person, i added a line of service to get a new phone at a discounted rate. The 9.99 a month kinda suck and its $240 for 2 years extra for a line I dont use.. its like a rent-a-center style way to get a phone

Full retail it's $649 for a 4s at least if you buy it through Verizon. Maybe apple has certified like new but probably not. I would say adding a line would be cheaper. It's $30 a month additional to monthly access and $9.99 for insurance if you want too. Most peoria if the get a corporate discount you get a discount off the voice plan and data plan. Normally you can upgrade 20 months. You might be able to bill to account some of that if your willing to have it on your next bill.
