Country code - incoming calls not recognized from address book

I am new to Verizon.  I imported all my contacts (I was previously an ATT customer)  - all my phone numbers have the format +1 area code + phone number.  

 

My incoming calls are not picking up the name from my address book until I take the country code off the number.  I do not want to have to take the country code off all my phone numbers !!!  

 

Does anyone know how to leave the country code on my phone number and still have the incoming call pick up the name from my address book?

Our systems are set to recognize the 1 + Area Code + Prefix + Number.   If the numbers are from the the United States, they do not need to have the country code attached.   I recommend editing your contact list in your ITunes application.  I have provided some additional information below on how to transfer contacts.  You can also get support from Apple by clicking on the following link:

  1. Connect the iPad / iPhone to the computer using the USB cable.
    Note By default, iTunes opens automatically.
  2. Select the iPad / iPhone under Devices on the left-hand side of iTunes.
  3. Select which tab to sync:
    Info (contacts, mail accounts, calendar, etc.)
    Apps
    Music
    Movies
    TV Shows
    Podcasts (Windows only)
    Books (Windows only)
    Photos

Info

  1. Select from the following options:
    MobileMe
    Sync Contacts with
    Sync Calendars with
    Sync Mail Accounts from
    Other
    Advanced

 MobileMe

Note Support provided by Apple.

 

 Sync Contacts with

  1. Enable / disable Sync Contacts with.
    Note Enabled when check mark is present.
  2. From the Sync Contacts with drop down menu select one of the following options:
    Note If presented select Switch / Cancel.
    • Google Contacts
    • Windows Contacts
    • Yahoo! Address Book
  3. Click Configure.
  4. If prompted, enter account user ID / password then click OK.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • All contacts selected
    • Selected groups
  6. Click Apply.
