I'm considering a change to the Share Everything plan and would like to minimize my data usage by using WiFi networks whenever possible. If I have my cell phone connected to the Verizon network AND to a wifi network, does the phone (iPhone 4S) always choose the Verizon network by default when I, say, stream music? Other than putting the phone into Airplane Mode, is there a way to ensure that my phone uses an available WiFi network instead of the Verizon network for data usage, especially when connected to both? Thanks for your assistance.
If you turn on wifi and connect to wifi then it shouldn't go to vzw network. You can always shut off cellular data network and do wifi to make sure.
I wouldn't know. My crappy iPhone 4s RARELY receives a stable 3G connection in Metro Los Angeles.
