Does the phone continue to use up data even when powered off? How do I close out of aps like Facebook and Words with Friends?

Ma'am when the device is off that would be a No as it can't connect to the Network)  To close out of your App's I would hit the Home button on your Phone,  Hope this helps b33

That was what I was thinking. Somehow though the apps are not closing, even when I am at "Home" on the phone. Thanks

Ma'am you might try and find app like System Panel app for your iPhone this app works great for me on showing what my phone is doing it shows all of it's Vitals. I've use the app for 3 years and i am very happy with how it keeps me informed on my phones Which are 2 Razr Max's. b
