Do I have to upgrade? I'm still on iOS 5.1.1

My phone still works fine with iOS 5.1.1. The only problem is that some apps seem to require 6 or 7 now. With all of the negative discussions out there, I'd be fine sticking with 5. Should I upgrade just to be able to use a few new apps? Am I missing out on some positives of iOS 7 that I am not aware of?

Noverator,

Superb question. And while we recommend moving to the newest version of iOS 7 for app functionality and device optimization, it's definitely don't something we want to force. But if you would like to learn about some of the benefits, check this out http://bit.ly/bOQC84 .
