Has anyone switched from the HTC Thunderbolt to an iphone 4s? Need advice!

I'm so sick and tired of my Tbolts poor battery even with EVERYTHING set to off and my display turned all the way down this phone does not last me a full work day with minimal usage (and no, I don't download stuff or make a ton of voice calls). This is one of the worst phone batteries ever and I'm thinking about switching to a 4s at full price with the logic of selling my 4s on ebay when the 5 comes out since I am eligible for an upgrade in November. I've heard from some that the 4s battery isn't great but surely it has to be better than the Tbolts. Has anyone made the switch? Or have any feedback for me?

Its more of a prefrrence thing because I own a iPhone 4 (Not the S) and a TB and I still perfer the TB, the battery on my device has done fine by me, sure it isnt the longest life device but I havent seen it being all that bad either, the ones that compare a iphone to any 4G device will say the iphone is better but this is due to the 3G only...   If you want a 3G device with good battery life you should be able to get this with the TB by just disabling the 4G radio..

Back to what I said...  Each to their own...

I've been disabling the 4g radio since March last yr when I bought this phone and as of late that doesn't mean anything as the phone still doesn't last me past 6 hours with VERY conservative usage.

Different devices are different people I guess, I haven't did nothing but enjoy my device but I kind of cheated and bought extended battery for hotspot use and the HTC Rezound for everyday use,,,  The extended only gets used when I use hotspot...

I switched from the LG Revolution to the iPhone 4S and I couldn't be happier. I ended up switching to a Family Plan and they put an old junker phone that I had as the new phone number and I got the iPhone on my existing number.  When my contract runs out, I can upgrade to a new iPhone, if there is one then, and still keep the junker as the family plan extra phone.  That way there is no needed data plan.  I pay $10 a  month more now, much less than buying an iPhone at full cost.  I got it for $199.  Just a thought for you.

I have had great luck with the Thunderbolt.......but I use it as a 3G phone, since i am not in a 4G area.  I got a 1800Mah slim fit battery, switched it to 3G only ( on phone dial pad dial *#*#4636#*#* and under phone information scroll down and change to" CDMA auto (PRL)" I was going to get a Incredible 2 but spec wise the T-bolt is the same with a 4.3 screen and dimensions are just a tad bigger so decided to buy a T-bolt. Can get them fairly reasonable now on Ebay.  It makes a great 3G phone but there are better 4G phones available today. If you switch to I-phone you will be 3G anyways and drop to a little 3.5 screen and overpay for what your getting. I just feel you get more bang for the buck with other phones. I am not a fan of neither they are just phones to me....but Apple seems to be alittle overrated and alittle over priced in my opinion for what you are really getting. And you can get the Juice Defender app and put that on, seems to help quite alot. Also if you read around the i-phone 4s also has pretty dismal battery life......and remember Apple feels that people that buy their products are just about incapable of doing anything and that includes changing a battery....so if its going dead, you can't plop another battery  in, you can only charge it back up.....prob another reason never went with Apple products., Being on the ranch and farm its nice to have the option of putting in another fully charged battery. I'm not always around a wall socket.

I had very bad time with the thunderbolt I had to have an extended battery to actually use it for 10 hrs. I have had many smartphones and that one was replaced many times from march untill november. I never Upgrade usually 2 different phones in 1yr. after gingerbread it decreased cache too. Love the iPhone hasent rebooted yet. Go iPhone go lasts a day and I use it a lot. Yes u have to use wifi alittle for downloads. I would get the 4s.

I wish the carriers would stop loading useless apps or at least give option to disable on startup because I really think that this would cut down on a number of the issues that users have with their devices..  There is so many nice devices ruined and give users bad impressions of a nice device.

My liberated (Warrenty Voided) TB does run a lot better than my Stock TB and I can say that my iPhone do have areas that it is superiour but to limited for me.   If iPhone increase the screen sizes and add more custom options they may can win me over to the dark side..
