Am traveling to Europe in May. Want advice from others who have used an Iphone4 while traveling. Thanks.

I don't travel but since the iPhone 4 isent global really. I would shut off cellular data roaming. Use wifi so u can use iMessage, web browsing, apps , etc.

That's sounds like an awesome trip! gina7239 has some great ideas for your travel! You can turn off the cellular data, or you can put the phone in airplane mode. Settings>Airplane mode. WiFi is a great alternative while traveling internationally. I have also provided you a link with our global rates. Travelled in London 2009 with the iPhone. Didnt know that i needed to get the plan that would accommadate the roaming charges so i had a 575.00 bill. when i went this year, i turned the phone completely off. I left my 1st and 2nd iPhones there and the phone was changed to the England system. call your phone provider and see what plans they have before you go. even the text messages were expensive.
