Has anyone else had this problem - The home button stops working? Sometimes it will work if I press it 2 or 3 times, sometimes I have to push the sleep button and then it works. It doesn't seem matter if the screen is blank or I want to close an application.It doesn't happen all of the time but enough that it's getting annonying.
According to some other posts I've seen, it seems to be related to the 4.2.1 update. It didn't start right away after the update but it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas?
I haven't had any issues with my home button but it's possible that you just have a faulty or failed home button. Take the phone in to your nearest Verizon or Apple store and have them look at it. As far as it being related to the update...have you considered updating your iOS? Mine is currently at 4.2.8...and it's not the latest update (I chose to skip the latest one because I wasn't having any issues). Since you're still back on 4.2.1 you might benefit from updating.
