I've an iPhone 4S locked to Verizon. I'm not the original owner of it, I bought it from my frind, who live in the USA. He said that it's off-contract, and unlockable. What to do now?

Have your friend call the Verizon custom service. They can unlock it.
No, he didn't. He don't want to do anything with it. Can I call them from Hungary? Is it expensive? What I need to say about the phone?
