How can i unlock my Iphone 4s

I brought iphone 4s from my friend which he brought the device from USA last month he gave me i'm not able to use any other carrier because it is not yet factory unlocked please help me with this

Do you mean to use on a carrier outside the US? If so, Verizon will not unlock the phone unless it is CURRENTLY active on a Verizon line of service.

No.

It cannot be done for USA use on Verizon. As far as I have been reading unless its for a prepaid 3G service. Even then its a gamble.
