How do I get pictures from my computer off of my iPhone 4s?

When I plugged my phone into my computer to download my pics onto my computer, the computer downloaded all my pictures on my phone. I have tried many times to get rid of the pics, but I am not able too. With all those pics there I am not able to do any software updates, how can I get rid of all those pics?

It's important that you have memory space to complete any needed software updates, SummerTimeGirl. When you connected your iPhone to the computer, was a sync with iTunes performed? I would recommend reviewing your iTunes sync settings. The following link will provide the steps on how to do this, and also how to delete synced photos: http://spr.ly/6582Cibg
