How to turn off data in Iphone4S

This is a little more than just turning off the data. My daughter is extremely attached to her phone. We have found that a good punishment is to take her phone away. Unfortunately that also punishes us. Concern about her whereabouts etc. So what I want to do is to be able to turn off her data access in a way that does not allow her to turn it back on. She will figure out how to do that if I turn it off in her phone.

So Verizon, is there is there a way for me to turn off data access in her phone through the account that is associated with the phone?

I think under usage controls you can as well as to locate under family locator. Under that you can program when She can and cannot use the phone. That's a Verizon thing online but its $4. I thought suspending it would work but then you can't tell where she's at. You can't call etc.

Sorry for confusing post... Usage controls is on Vzw.com. Login into your my Verizon and set it up. Family locator too.

On iPhone in settings you have called restrictions like safari downloading apps camera FaceTime those things you can restrict with passcode I don't think you can shut it off without passcode once you make one. So if you make one everything you want to restrict it will disappear like it isent there until you unrestrict it.

Usage Controls and Family Locator are an extra charge. Shouldn't be but area.

How willing is your daughter to tell you where she is? If she tells you where she is all the time, then blocking data would be fine.

But if she doesn't volunteer her location at all, and you block data on the phone, then that would leave out apps like Google Latitude or Find my Friends to keep track of her location.

Turn on phone > go to Settings> tap on General>scroll down to restrictions> click enable > enter a passcode>

Disable everything you don't want her to use: safari, downloading/installing apps, facebook, itunes,

Go to Location Services > make sure it's on. > find my iphone app - make sure it's on as well.

Edit restrictions for twitter- bluetooth, etc

Unless you tell her the pin number, she can't edit crap. If that doesn't work, take her damn phone away, apparently she isn't mature enough to have it!
