My son just gave me his I phone, and I need some help with the contacts. I had a Samsung Brightside with my contacts on it, as well on the Verizon web contact backup. Now when I look at my contacts it is all of my Gmail contacts and not necessarily the ones I had on my other phone. Is there a way to copy the contacts from my old phone into a separate contact list on the I phone?
Thanks,
NHAL

Thanks, but all the contacts were transferred to my I phone when I received the phone. Now I have most of the contacts from my old Samsung and all the contacts from my Gmail account as well. I realy do no need all of my email accounts on my phone.
You can follow the website below.
Tip: Don't activate your new device just yet. In order to successfully transfer your contacts, you must do so before activating your device.

NHAL, it is great to hear that you recently switched to an iPhone and I hope that you are enjoying! We certainly understand the importance of staying in touch and we're here to help! Jroeder was right on track, Backup Assistant allows you to transfer the phone numbers of your contacts however email addresses will need to be manually entered.
