I need to unlock my iphone, but not an active verizon customer

Hi

I've been reading all the information about unlocking iphone 4s and i don't find an option for me. I live in Mexico City, but my cousin work in US, and sell me an iphone, but i cannot activate with a local carrier because is locked.

Is there an option for me? Could you help me with unlocking?

If not a VZW customer, the device can not be unlocked.

Yes, there is an option. I assume your cousin is a Verizon customer? Send the phone back to him. Have him activate it on his account. He can unlock it. He can then send it back to you.
