IMEI Number unlocking for use abroad

I have an Iphone 4s that I used in America and it worked great.  I recently moved to Ireland and to use it they said I would need to unlock the IMEI number.  I was wondering how to do that.

On vzw can unlock it you must be a current vzw in good standing for 90 days nobody on this forum can provide you with that information
