Iphone 4 problems

My Iphone 4 just shut off and wont turn back on.  Can anyone help?

While it's connected to a power source (computer or plug), press and hold the home button and lock button simultaneously and see if you get the Apple logo to pop up.  It may take about 10 seconds.  This is a hard reset and the phone should operate normally afterwards.  If not then you may have more serious issues with the phone.
