Iphone 4s sync problems with ford

I have a 2013 ford explorer and and Iphone 4s with the latest software updates.  My phone will not automatically pair up with my car when I get in.  Blue tooth is turned on.  I have to do a soft reset and then it will discover my phone and connect.  But the connection only lasts for about 5-10 minutes before it just drops it.  When it tries to find it again it fails.  I have called my ford touch sync support and they say it is an issue of compatability between apple and microsoft.  HELP.....I bought this vehicle 2 months ago and it still won't work.  My local verizon store told me that my phone is not the problem.,  The ford dealer told me my phone is the problem.
