After having my iphone for over a year, Im looking to try something else. If I purchase a phone from another source (not Verizon itself) do I have to pay the early termination fee? Can I just buy the phone without Verizon even being involved and activate on my accout?
I believe so, I bought a Droid through Verizon and 1 year into my 2 year contract I bought an iPhone 4 from ebay and activated it with no penalty. Just to be sure, I would ask Verizon directly. Good Luck!
