Is it possible to unlock my iPhone 4s for use in Canada?

I am currently in Canada on a visa and would like to unlock my iphone 4s to use while I am here. I am out of contract and it is just costing me far too much to use while up here. Is there any way to unlock it for use on a Canadian provider?
