My other message never posted - so hopefully this won't be a duplicate.
My new iPhone is at the local FedEx facility and will be here within a few hours. All my wonderful techno-savvy friends are at work today so I am on my own to set this up and don't want to mess things up.
I've heard varied reports on setting up contacts whether syncing with gmail, or through iTunes -- don't think I can use iCloud because my laptop is windows XP -- read I needed Vista, or Windows 7.
So...any and ALL guidance appreciated!
Also - would love to know what apps I really should get....which to avoid. How to turn on power saving properties (or turn off power hungry apps).
I really want to have an easier time switching from my Droid, to iPhone, than I did switching from a flip phone to my Droid (yes -- some guy in the parking lot had to show me how to answer the phone!)
Thanks in advance
