everything was peachy until a few months ago, then my messages started being delayed to my close friend who is ATT. SOMETIMES for days. WHEN we were in same town worked fine. I am in big city (suburbs) and so is she.....driving me nuts. I have spent hours literally hours close to 6 with support. I have replaced my phone, still texting issues. My guess is that Verizon is upgrading the 4G in anticipation of higher demand and let the other part go to pot. ANY one else have t his issue and want to share a fix for me I would appreciate it!!!!! One way conversations suck!
Usually if you are having trouble with one number and only that number the odds are the problem is on their side and not yours.

Wow! I am so sorry that your texts to your friend aren't going through. Seems like quite the problem, and we want to help you fix this! I know I hate one way conversations too (I always think they are just ignoring me ha ha).
It sounds like you have been through a lot in terms of troubleshooting. If replacing the phone and hours on the phone has not helped, you may want to have your friend file a network ticket with their carrier to see what happening on their end. We can do the same thing on our end too to make double sure it isn't a Verizon Wireless issue! We want to get down to the bottom of it as much as you do!
Also, commonsense101 is correct that texts do not run over the 4G network, and they do go through the voice network (same as calls). So there wouldn't be a conflict there! Just great fast internet coverage with 4G in your area!

this happens with a lot of NON verizon numbers.... ever since they beefed up the 4g service and stopped working on 3g. ATT in particular which is a lot of people. Even get delayed and failed messages with verizon p[eople IN MY OWN FAMILY NETWORK I PAY FOR ALL THESE PHONES!!!
seriously this is been over last few months. VERIZON PLEASE DO SOMETHING the ATT people have checked their systems! and MY OWN FAMILY TXT failing... all on 3g! not sure if i will renew this because i have to spend hours with techs trying to sort out! I live in ATLANTA not the sticks!
