Ok first off is the password for you to unlock your phone?
Or is it to access iTunes Store ?
Or is it for your personal hotspot?
If you forgot your log in for the phone you have to change or retrieve your password from your account on the ITunes menu.
http://www.itunes.com or just bring it up by clicking iTunes from your computer desktop. Go to Account, it will ask for a password if you cannot remember it the system can give you a hint via different methods. Challenge questions you made on set up or a phone call. You will need this new or existing password to unlock or wipe your phone from http://www.icloud.com You will have to do a phone reset via this website to gain access to your iPhone.
If for your hotspot just go to settings Hotspot and where it says password just change it to be able to use it again.
