I recently purchased an LG Cosmos Touch phone for my wife (my daughter and I have the same phone and the problem I'm about to describe does not occur on our phones). The battery runs down in a short period of time because we discovered that even when the phone is sitting undisturbed for a long period of time, it lights up and stays that way for awhile, even though no calls or texts are being received -- then eventually goes dark again. Why is it doing this, and what can we do to correct the problem?
You posted this in the iPhone 4s forum so you might not get an answer to that here. Try finding the forum for your device or checking the manufacturer's site to see if they have a forum that could help. Also, you can contact VZW for support just in case it's a problem that is covered under warranty.
