I'm having consistent problems connecting my iPhone 4 to my home (Comcast) Wifi network. When I try selecting my home network, I get "Unable to join the network" error message, w/no additional info. In addition, it doesn't show me the other local wifi networks, even though I can see them on my laptop (which connects fine to the same Wifi network!). The weird thing is that sometimes it does connect successfully, but most of the time it doesn't - very frustrating! I even had this same problem with 2 iPhone 4 devices (I had to replace the 1st one for another reason), so I know it's not just my current device.
I tried calling VZW tech support but they were useless. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what's the solution? There must be something wrong w/the iPhone 4 and Wifi, right?
I also have an iPhone 4 and Comcast and have had this problem. Right now, I have two active home networks and the iPhone never sees one of them, although every other device in the house (two iPads, 5 computers on three floors) does. I stopped getting the unable to connect message a couple of weeks ago, but I have to reconnect from settings almost every time I change floors. It's incredibly irritating. So, no help, but I feel you pain!
Let's get to the bottom of this Dermot! Are you able to connect to other wifi connections without a problem (manually or when they do display)? Are you running software version 6.1.3? Do you experience the same results if cellular data is turned off and wifi is on? http://vz.to/1dqYU6Z Please share. Thank you.

Oh wow, nettieo, that's strange. Can you please reset network settings http://bit.ly/Uenf5q and reboot your phone? Have you ever tried changing the security settings on your router?

Looks like my problem has been solved based on the Comcast support forum - basically I had to click "Renew Lease" in the WiFi setting page and now it works fine. The page where I got the idea was
